Dr. Tao is currently an Associate Professor at Central University of Finance and Economics. She was educated at National School of Development, Peking University where she received her Ph.D. She was also a visiting scholar at Business School of Columbia University in the City of New York, and also a visiting scholar at Hongkong Monetary Authority. Her research interests focus on International Finance and Development Economics. She participated in national research program 6 times and her publications are seen in Finance Research, Asian Economic Papers, China and World Economy, etc.
